When Matt and Jen approached me about photographing their engagement and and their wedding I just knew we were going to get along well together and that the fit was good. In the days leading up to their wedding I was still recovering from being sick with mono so I was feeling a little pressure to make sure we’re doing a good job. I partnered with Micah Morton of Micah Morton Photography to help cover the big day out at the Arizona National Golf Club.
The had such a fun theme and colors for their special day – I found myself laughing throughout the day. Matt works at a comic book shop and I kept stumbling across little references to their love of these characters. From the small Lego versions of Thor, Iron Man and more as boutonnieres to the little heroes scaling the backside of their wedding cake, to the Captain America socks and garters, the sonic screwdrivers for the groomsmen it was all a lot of fun and I was thrilled to be a part of their special day.
